HOPE

Wide open spaces beckon
Come breath
Come sing
The harsh cold wind blows in the distance
A reminder
The familiar
A faint voice
Weakened by my awakening

Now a distance memory
I can still feel it
I can still taste the hopeless
It’s dark damp
Moving farther and farther away
From my present
From my reality

Hope is strong
Hope is a rock
That holds me fast
But fragile
So fragile
Still in my heart
Beating
Beating

It holds me
Keeps me
Calls me
Whispers
Whispers
So strong

A friend
A good friend
Faithful
Steadfast
Always there
Even when I can’t see
Especially then
Patient
Waiting

An anchor that holds me
Through the storm
Through the dark
The torrent
The howling winds of adversity
The screaming doubt

Hope alive
Always alive
Living
Even in what feels like death
What looks like the end
Hope
A new beginning                                                                                                                                                           Resurrection

I've committed my life to serve Jesus Christ and His Church. My passion is to see people rescued and brought into life and to serve them in music and communication of God's Word. I do that through every venue available from this blog to podcasts and videos. My hope is that you are encouraged, provoked and somehow healed and inspired through what you experience here on this website. It is my privilege to oversee the worship ministry at Covenant Love Church in Fayetteville, NC. My husband, John, and I do life with three adult children and their families and a beagle named Buddy!
